Principles in the serial and the parallel circuits of electric resistors

Principles in the serial circuits of electric resistors
  1. The electric current the passes through each resistor is equal to the electric current the passes through the serial substitute resistor
  2. The voltage in serial substitute resistor is equal to the sum of voltage in each resistor
  3. Serial arrangement function as a voltage divider. The voltage in each resistor is directly proportional to its resistance.

Principles in the parallel circuits of electric resistors
  1. The electric current that passes through a parallel substitute resistor ia equal to the sum of electric current that passes through each resistor
  2. The voltage in a parallel substitute resistor is equal in each resistor.
  3. The parallel arrangement functions as a current divider. The electric current flowing through each resistor is directly proportional to the inverse of its resistance.
